Ten years ago, Downtown Los Angeles had very little in the way of a “scene” and existed primarily as office space for commuters who lived somewhere else—somewhere west, most likely. Now, this downtown is alive again with a slue of new residential buildings, opening the door for people to come here and stay. Downtown LA caters to a new demographic: A museum-going, Spring Street bar-hopping, Eggslut devouring group of urbanites who have given this neighborhood the action it hadn’t seen in decades. Downtown is having a moment and we think that moment is going to last.
